Department of Turkish History is founded in order to analyze thousands years old history of Turkish World. Turkish history, which was occurred within a huge territory including initially Turkistan Caucasus, Middle East, Anatolia, Balkans and Central Europe, is tried to be analyzed by scheduled researches not only in political and martial terms but also in social, cultural and economic terms. With the contributions of postgraduate thesis, working scope of our department is getting closer to cuddle all parts of Turkish World.

 

Master and Ph.D. programs exist in our department within the body of Institute of Social Sciences.
